Release
2.0 of the ammonet Secure credit card data transmission
system is now on-line. This is a browser-based solution for sending
credit card and cheque details from customer to merchant via the internet, with
encrypted storage on our secure server. This service is available free
to all ammonet customers. It costs $104
per year (only $2 per week) for non-ammonet
users and $52 for bibliophile.net booksellers.

Major projects at ammonet:
1) Our assisted cataloguing database for booksellers is nearing
completion. This database will initially hold all book records from
the catalogues of the British Library (BNB and BLC) and the Library of
Congress, and will allow booksellers to search for the bibliographical
details of a particular book and download it in the format of their
book management database. The holdings of the National Library of
Italy will be added next. More under Bibliophily.
2) We are currently in the final stages of development of a
cross-platform, java-based book shop management system. This
system is capable of managing everything from a current and archived
book inventories in the hundreds of thousands to invoicing, wants
notifications and price quotations.
